Live plots, reserved from a phone. No plot sold twice

Estate Map turns an estate layout into a live, tappable map. Buyers and realtors see what is left and reserve plots from their phones, the office confirms each hold, and two people can never hold the same plot. Part of the Ampliora Estate Suite.

The challenge

What was going wrong

In most estates, plot availability lives in three places at once: a printed layout, someone’s spreadsheet and a chain of phone calls. None of them is ever quite up to date.

So realtors promise plots they cannot confirm. A buyer asks about Plot 12, the realtor says they will check and call back, and by the time they do, the buyer has cooled off. Worse, two buyers are sometimes told the same plot is theirs. The best case is a refund. The worst case is a lawyer’s letter.

Developers also could not see which realtor had brought which buyer to a plot, so credit was argued over, and buyers who wanted to choose a plot themselves had no way to do it without visiting the office.

The solution

What we built

We built Estate Map, a live plot map for each estate. Staff turn the estate layout into a map in minutes. Every plot shows whether it is available, waiting, reserved or sold. Buyers open a public page on their phone, see what is left with sizes and prices, and reserve up to ten plots. Each realtor shares their own link, so every reservation is credited to them. The office confirms or releases each hold, and every plot is checked again at the moment it is reserved, so two people can never hold the same one.

It needed to
  • Show buyers and realtors exactly what is left, live.
  • Let a buyer reserve a plot from a phone, without calling anyone.
  • Make it impossible to promise the same plot to two people.
  • Credit every reservation to the realtor who shared the link.
  • Keep the office in control of every hold and every sale.

How we built it

The thinking behind it

  1. Start from the layout they already have

Every estate already has a layout plan, as an image or a PDF. Staff upload it and tap each plot to outline it, then add its block, number, size and price. Commercial, future and amenity areas are marked too, so the map looks like the estate.

  2. Give every plot one honest status

Available, Reservation pending, Reserved, Sold or Not for sale. A colour key shows status and groups plots by size, so a buyer can see at a glance what fits their budget.

  3. Let buyers choose for themselves

The public page shows the estate, how many plots of each size are left (or Sold out), the map, each plot’s size and price, and a running total. A buyer filters by size, taps up to ten plots and reserves with a name and phone number.

  4. Make double-selling impossible, not just unlikely

At the moment a reservation is made, every chosen plot is checked again. If anyone already holds one of them, the request is refused. A hold lasts a set number of hours, and a confirmed hold a set number of days, so plots never sit locked forever. Repeated requests from the same number are capped.

  5. Keep the office in charge

Staff are alerted to every reservation and the buyer gets a confirmation email. The office confirms the hold, releases it, or turns it into a sale, and the plot shows as sold the moment a sale is allocated to it.

Inside

What it does

Layout to live map

Upload the estate layout and tap each plot to outline it. Add block, number, size and price, and mark commercial, future and amenity areas.

Five plot statuses

Available, Reservation pending, Reserved, Sold and Not for sale, with a colour key that also groups plots by size.

Public estate page

The estate’s name and location, plots left per size or Sold out, the live map, prices and a running total, built for a phone.

Reserve from a phone

Filter by size, pick up to ten plots and reserve with a name, phone number, optional email and a note.

No plot sold twice

Every plot is checked again at the moment it is reserved. If anyone already holds it, the request is refused, so two people can never hold the same plot.

Holds that expire

A reservation lasts a set number of hours, and a confirmed hold a set number of days, so unused holds return plots to the map.

Every realtor’s own link

A realtor’s link shows “Shared by” with their name, credits the reservation to them, adds it to their leads and emails them.

Share in one tap

Realtors see every published estate with plots left, and can copy their link or share it on WhatsApp in one tap.

Office in control

Staff are alerted to every reservation and can confirm it, release it or turn it into a sale. Directors can see everything but change nothing.

Plots picked at the sale

When a sale is recorded, the buyer taps their plots on the map. They count as sold straight away and return to the map if the sale is cancelled.

Site visits

Realtors book a site visit with a date, time and party size. The team confirms, offers another time or declines, and the realtor is told by email.

Survey view

Surveyors see only fully paid sales with each plot on the map, and add the survey details and plan for the deed.

What changed

The difference

Buyers and realtors now see the same live picture of every estate, and a buyer can choose and reserve a plot from a phone at midnight without calling anyone.

No plot can be promised twice, every reservation is credited to the realtor who shared the link, and the office decides what becomes a sale.
